A "classicaly" based synth album -recorded in 2022-2023 by mike "moogtron hewetson'. there are "themes" which occur and re-occur during the whole length of this album, although alot of improvisation is included here, mainly because the inspiration was at an all time high! -as a musician, i know this all too well!! - and it can happen simply "out of the blue" - who of us know how God can suddenly give you that incredible buzz of an incentive to set about something special? but it's a wise decision to use the feeling and do your art on the "spur" of the moment, if you have your equipment closeby!! be it music, art, or even poetry maybe, when those amazing feelings come about. La luna was established in 2004, when mike hewetson began recording sessions with paul owen at slepe farm in the purbecks. all improvised music , based on JMJ/VANGELIS/ENO/TOMITA/THE ORB., but by 2010, mike was composing alot more. la luna have played live alot since 2010 to 2019. the mellotron is featured heavily along with many analogue synths and sound fx. 100's of discs have been recorded . ... more
